MEEKER | There’s not much cuter than a little kid with a big dream!
Mountain Valley Bank’s annual Kids In Business Day took place last Friday, with just under 20 participants ages 5-18 selling everything from fresh eggs and cotton candy to homemade dog toys.
Through the program, participants learned how to develop a business idea, create a business plan, design a logo, and gain real-world experience marketing and selling their products. Kids who chose to save at least $25 of their profits also received a matching $25 contribution to a Mountain Valley Bank savings account. The event has grown substantially since it’s inception a few years ago, according to Branch Manager Katelin Cook.
