MEEKER | The Meeker Cowboys volleyball team had another successful weekend. Brining the Grand Valley Cardinals to Meeker for their breast cancer awareness day, the Cowboys beat the Cardinals in three games. The Cowboys also traveled to Paonia on Friday to compete against the Paonia Eagles where they won their second game of the week again, in three games.
Coming back from 20 to 12, where the Cowboys made an incredible comeback against the Eagles beating them 25-23 in the third set of the match. The team all had great stats, the star server of the game was Kirsten Brown who brought the cowboys back from 12 to 17.
This week the Cowboys played Debeque on Tuesday for the Cowboys senior night. They again won in three games. The Cowboys play their last match of the regular season in Soroco this Saturday. The cowboys still sit No. 1 in the 2A Western Slope League. If they remain No. 1, the Cowboys will host the league tournament on Nov. 1 and 2.
