The Panthers didn’t have long to rest before playing Burlington. The Panthers looked a little more like themselves as they beat Burlington in a five-set thriller. Halcomb led with three aces and 14 earned points behind the service line, while Miley Chism added two aces as did Cox. LeBleu led the team in kills with 11, and Cantrell chipped in eight kills as well. Cantrell and Wagner both played the net well having six blocks each. Phelps had 28 digs, Smith had 17 digs and Chism had 16 digs.
Overall, the Panthers had a great season and were just shy of one match to make it to the big show. Coach Marybel Cox stated that she is proud of her team and what they accomplished. “They are a tough group of girls!”
