Rangely’s lady Panthers tipped off last Friday for a league matchup against the Hayden Tigers. Once again the press and hard-hitting defense proved to be too much for the Tigers. The Panthers jumped out to early leads and finished the half with a score of 64-34. Miah Wren led the way with 20, followed by Ryann Mergelman with 15, Ashlynn Ducey with 13 and Annika Cantrell with eight. Emmeree Wagner, Kastyn Dembowski, Addison Scott and Miley Chism each added two apiece.
Saturday the lady Panthers took on West Grand for another league matchup and once again the press and defense of the Panthers set the tone early. The Panthers jumped out to a 49-14 lead at halftime and closed the game with a score of 69-34. Wren led the Panthers with 17, Ducey 16, a very strong game from Dembowski who finished with 14, followed by Mergelman with nine, Wagner with six, Cantrell added three, TyLee Fielder and Scott both added two apiece.
The Panthers will travel to Plateau Valley on Tuesday and Debeque on Saturday.
