RANGELY | The lady Panthers hosted West Grand for their annual Pink Out game on Friday, Oct. 14. The White team was up first and just couldn’t find a rhythm to get things going. West Grand took the match in two sets, 12-25 and 14-25. JV team started a little slow but getting the win in three sets, 25-23, 20-25 and 15-13. The girls played tough and didn’t give up. Varsity took to the floor and struggled early with passing and getting their offense going. Lady Panthers dropped the first two sets 17-25 and 13-25 but things got a little exciting in the third set, with the lady Panthers winning 32-30. West Grand didn’t let that get them down and took set four 14-25. Katelyn Brown and Sarah Connor led with 11 kills each. Saturday the lady Panthers traveled to Paonia. The White team still struggled with putting a game together, losing in two sets, 12-25 and 13-25. JV had some great plays but not enough for the win, dropping two sets to Paonia 13-25 and 15-25. Varsity came out ready to play but couldn’t capitalize on Paonia’s mistakes, losing in three sets, 19-25, 17-25 and 28-30. The Panthers played well but struggled on terminating play. The Panthers end their last week of regular season with a trip to Vail Christian on Friday and playing at home against Meeker on Saturday. Come out and support the lady Panthers as they close out their regular season, games start at 1 p.m.
