Dear Editor:
We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped out with our ESA annual Holiday Bazaar fundraiser. Without your help, we could not put on this event. We raised $1,400 for St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital. All other money raised goes to local charities in our community such as: A Book Fund Scholarship for a graduating senior, the Giving Tree, the Warm Program, Rowdy Worm after Prom party, Giant Step Preschool, New Eden, our seniors and many more.
A huge thank you to Parkview Elementary for allowing us to use their gym every year. White River Market for donating food needed for our luncheon, Bank of the San Juans and Town of Rangely for the use of the marquees, Subway for donating the chips and cheese, Giovanni’s for the crackers and Barb Widner and Sherry Huff for volunteering their time.
Our raffle for St. Jude items donated included: 55 inch flat screen TV donated by W.C. Striegel, won by Barb Chism; rare green tanzanite pendant donated by Paul Burgell, won by Melissa Cords; ESA’s money shirt with an agate bolo by Gary Noel, won by Sara Hunter; Keurig coffee pot donated by Rangely True Value Hardware, won by Dawn Miears; discount certificate donated by Too Old Antiques, won by Bill Palmer; $15 gift certificate donated by Sweetbriar, won by Vicki Lane; two $25 gift certificates donated by Giovanni’s, won by Tina Carstens and Tiffany Rowley; T-shirt donated by Urie Trucking, won by Sara Huff; a tire rotation donated by JJ’s Automotive, won by Milly Archuletta; $25 gift certificate donated by Conoco, won by Corey Hale; two $25 gift certificates donated by West End Drive In, won by Ann Brady and Tina Carstens; two $10 gift certificates donated by El Agave Restaurant, won by Vicki Lane and Tina Carstens; $25 gift certificate donated by White River Market/Ace Hardware, won by Tina Carstens; $20 gift certificate donated by Jade Lion, won by Sara Hunter; two $25 gift certificates donated by Pinyon Tree Liquors, won by Dawn Miears and Tina Carstens; two $20 gift certificates donated by Rangely Liquors, won by Vicki Lane and Milly Archuletta; two Tupperware containers (set) donated by Glenda Terry, won by Vicki Lane; rustic wood framed picture donated by Bryan Harder, won by Vicki Lane.
