Letter: Epsilon Chi Holiday Bazaar was a success

The annual Holiday Bazaar, sponsored by the Epsilon Chi Chapter of ESA, was held Sunday at Parkview Elementary School. Many thanks to the community and to the many vendors for their participation, making it a successful event.
Thanks to the support of community members who bought tickets for Epsilon Chi’s annual fund raiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital $458 was raised. Winners of the three separate drawings were: Cheryl McDonald won the $100 money shirt, Alyssa Rouse the rafting trip though Split Mountain next summer, and Rodger Polley the Grand Junction get-away.
Several of the vendors held their own drawings for their own special items. From Connie Mick, Karen Cassavaugh won a pilgrim turkey. Sandra Sisneros awarded four different quilts: the tiger quilt went to Sharon Stewart, Kathy Medina got a snowman quilt, the bear went to Grace Stewart, and Loyann Hayes received the rose. A final grand prize was a ring crafted by Paul Burgell of Grand Junction, which went to Shirley Clayton.
Several local groups will benefit from the funds raised, such as: the Giving Tree, the Food Bank, Eagle Crest and Giant Step, to name a few of the Epsilon Chi projects.
We greatly appreciate the generous donations of both supplies and food items for our food table made by Subway and White River Market. Thanks to Nichols Store (Bill Hume) for providing ice.
