Letter: MD Association sets fundraising record

Just a short note to the community on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We have been collecting money for Jerry’s Kids since 2003. Nationally, most departments fill the boot on Labor Day weekend. We tried that our first year and only made $525. It seems most folks are very busy in the fall and we decided that since the 4th of July brought so many people to town that we would try it then.…
