Dear Editor:
The first week in office the RBC Commissioners do not renew the contract of the county attorney in a deal that seems to be made in secret between two commissioners. The very next week, the commissioners announce a new county attorney. Both of these transaction do not pass the smell test of being decisions made in an open and transparent way. The commissioners have made themselves a target for those of us who do not care for backroom deals and “good ‘ole boy” governance. Their every action will be questioned about whether the transaction is above board. This is really not a good beginning.
