The Rangely Relay for Life youth team, Super Why, would like to thank all local businesses and residents of both Rangely and Meeker who donated to this year’s relay, again making the event a success. This is the fourth year that we have had our youth team and each year Rangely and Meeker help us reach our annual and individual goal. The team collected more than $6,000 for the 2009 relay. Since we started the team in 2005, we have raised more than $24,000!
We want to personally thank John Payne and Shari Saenz for hosting the “dining for the cure” at their restaurants, Giovanni’s Italian Grill and Los Tres Potrillos. Both have hosted the event three years in a row. We also want to thank Mike Cushman, who every year gratefully allows our team to hold a car wash at the Rangely Fire Hall.
We appreciate and thank White River Market for allowing us to sell chances outside the store for a beautiful dream catcher made by Kelsey Prosser. We also thank the Rio Blanco Herald Times for allowing us free ad space for advertising our fundraising activities. The Times has always supported the event and has provided excellent coverage.
Our goal is to find a cure for cancer in our lifetime. Please remember to attend our fundraising events next year when we continue to help find a cure.
