Letter: Thank you to the Meeker community

Dear Editor:
Dear Meeker, thank you for being such a wonderful and caring community. The several months before Dianne passed away were extremely difficult but your care, well wishes and prayers made the unbearable bearable.
We are blessed to have in our community a very caring health care community that not only takes care of the patient but the family/caregiver. From the time that Dianne became incapacitated I had the support of the PMC Home Health services and Hope West Hospice folks who were always very caring and conscientious and loving in their care of Dianne and of me during an incredibly difficult time. During her stay in the hospital we could not have asked for more compassionate and competent care.
In 1982 when I was assigned to Meeker I had never heard of the place. It didn’t take long, though, to realize that of all the places in Colorado that we could have been sent I thank God that He chose Meeker as our home. So thank you people of Meeker for being the best.
