Letters To The Editor, Opinion

Letter: Thanks from Lancaster family

Dear Editor,

There are so many people to thank for helping to make the fourth annual Nick Lancaster Memorial Golf Tournament the huge success that it was! This tournament would not have succeeded without the players, sponsors, volunteers and over the top golf course staff. The following businesses/individuals sponsored holes, teams and/or contests: Joe Reed Team RE/MAX 4000, Napa, Urie Rock Company, Urie Trucking, James Kuck, Ducey’s Electric, Bank of the San Juans, Professional Touch, Gio’s Family Dining, Coaches Corner, Julie Lane Bockleman/Merrill Lynch, Baker Hughes, Scout Energy Partners, Blue Mountain Energy-Deserado Mine, Rangely True Value, Brenda Walck, Prater’s Plumbing and Heating, family of Matt Grenfell, Pam Powell and Kenny Meis. Additional thanks to the Mullen Investment Group (Mike Mullen) for sponsoring the Hole in One Competition for the fourth year in a row. Also thank you to DR3 Consulting-Trey Robie for sponsoring the keg contest the past four years.

We would also like to thank Pinyon Tree Liquor, Sweetbriar, Blue Mountain Inn and Suites, Sean and Bonnie Higgins, Yardley’s Automotive, Celesta Mullen and Henry Kiang, Casey and Karen Wilder, Rick and Ann Brady, Jennifer O’Hearon, Rebecca Jiron and Diana Sizemore for donations for the tournament. Big thanks to Crimsen and Jeren Blankenship for cooking and Beth Schofield, Kelli Neiberger and Pam Powell for preparing and serving the lunch sponsored by Mike and Debbie Lancaster and Jon and Amorette Hawkins. An extra special thank you goes to Gary and Blondie Reed for the home-grown beef that they donated for the tournament lunch.

Thanks to Sylvia Dembowski of Get Your Stitch on (for making) and Justyne Peters of Heifer Gang Clothing (for designing) the tournament swag.  Once again, you outdid yourselves!

We would also like to thank Simply Essential Business Solutions-Beth Schofield for all the work that you continue to do for the Foundation and the effort that you put forth to attend the events. We appreciate the way you hit the ground running once you get here and keep us on task!

Congratulations to Head Coach Keenan LeBleu! We are so excited to continue our work with you in this new capacity!

Most of all we would like to thank Chris Hejl (and his staff-Chandelle Kenney and Marissa Coney) once again for all of the things that you did behind the scenes that people don’t even know about to make the tournament run so smooth! We wish that you could have heard all the nice things that the people from out of town had to say about our golf course and the staff and how accommodating you were compared to other places.  Last but not least, thanks to the Executive Director of the Rec District, Mr. Tim Webber for managing such an awesome facility in our community!

See you all again next year!

Bleed Green!

The Family of Nick Lancaster and the Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation
