At the recently held convention of the Colorado Woolgrowers Association in Montrose, Nick Theos was accorded the honor of a lifetime membership for his service to the livestock industry, and particularly the sheep industry.
Mike Harper, president, CWGA, made the announcement at the closing luncheon at the convention.
At this same convention the winning ticket for the side-by-side ATV was drawn and the winner was Mike Mitchell of Milk Creek Ranch. Allan Jones won last year, so maybe it’s a good thing to buy your ticket from Butch Theos and live in the Milk Creek area. We congratulate Mike on his win and thank him for his support of the Woolgrowers.
Rio Blanco Woolgrowers would like to extend a big thanks to Los Koras restaurant for its assistance on the Fourth of July and again at the county fair. They are the gyro gurus.
We’d also like to thank Watt’s Ranch Market and Okagawa Farms of Grand Junction for their donations of watermelon and the corn for the fair. And, of course, to the members and friends who show up to work at these events. Without all these great folks we would have no money for awards and scholarships.
