Dear Editor:
Just a note to say thank you to all those of you out there in Rio Blanco, Moffat, Uintah and Mesa Counties, who reached out to us during the illness and death of Nigel Urie-Stanton-Weldon. Her worst fears, and ours, happened on Christmas Eve when she had a massive stroke which completed her life here on earth on Jan. 5.
But don’t be sad, as she has arrived at the place she had hoped to go and is in good hands there. She will be remembered and bring smiles to many faces as the woman who loved Blue Mountain — and the stories of her life will live on as well. She was blessed to be able to live in the place she loved and watch the elk outside her window, the hawk in the tree raising her young — right up to the last weeks of her life. She was laid to rest in the very place she loved where she will continue on in her quest of loving Blue Mountain and the old homestead she was raised on.
Once again, thank you to all of those who reached out in love to comfort and celebrate the life of our dear mother, wife, aunt, cousin, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed but never forgotten.
From all the Urie
and Weldon Families
