Letter to the Editor: Helping hands

Shortly after 10 p.m. Monday, May 21, we had the misfortune of a ruined tire on our truck after passing through the construction zone on Highway 13. Fortunately for us, we were soon blessed by the presence and assistance of Deputy Davon Smith and his supervisor (whose name I regret not getting) of the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Department. They quickly got the spare in place so that we could continue toward home and recommended that we stop at Kum ‘N Go for a bit more air. To top off their service, they followed us to that point and quickly added air to the tire. These two were truly “angels of mercy” to us. A big “thank you” to them and to all their fellow officers for the service they provide to the public.
