Dear Editor:
On behalf of the board and staff at Pioneers Medical Center, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the team at the Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge Department and Meeker Lions Club.
During the transition to the new medical facility, there were several large objects that needed to be moved from 345 Cleveland to 100 Pioneers Medical Center Dr.
The county Road and Bridge and the Meeker Lions Club came to the rescue. With their large equipment and volunteer time, they relocated several statues, large monument rocks and the Walbridge Wing Gazebo.
In order to relocate the gazebo, a special permit was required from the Colorado Department of Transportation. That permit would only allow us to transport the gazebo in the middle of the night. So thank you to the midnight crew who loaded the gazebo and drove the pilot cars.
Thank you for helping us to bring some of our history with us. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you county Road and Bridge and Meeker Lions Club.
