Merry and bright
Dear Editor,
I want to thank everyone who continued lighting their wonderful Christmas displays through the entire Christmas season. We prepare and anticipate from Dec. 1 to 15. On Christmas Day we start the Twelve Days of Christmas and celebrate until Epiphany, Jan. 6, when the Wise Men came with gifts for the Babe. The lights and decorations of Christmas make the winter days “merry and bright.” Now, the days will be noticeably longer and lighter and we can start to look forward to Spring! Thanks again for the warmth and cheer the decorations bring.

Food bank needs volunteers
Dear Editor,
Meeker Community Food Bank is looking for anyone interested in helping serve those in need. We have open hours on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We also have a call line for emergencies or sudden need for food.
This has been a very important mission in our community and could really use more manpower! As mentioned before… this is not a Methodist Church mission, it is the community’s mission. So if you have a desire to serve your community and are interested in helping in any way, please contact Cindy Nelson (director) at 970-878-4223.
