Letter to the Editor: Meeker couple thanks officers, responders

Dear Editor:
We would like to take a moment and offer a huge thank you to the Meeker Police Department/Chief Bob Hervey, Meeker Fire Rescue EMT, the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, Pioneers Medical Center emergency and triage team as well as all first responders for their quick actions and much needed comforting as the shock wore off during our accident on Highway 13 on Wednesday, March 16.

In the blink of an eye, everything can change in an instant. Our situation could’ve been much worse, but we are here and alive. We are grateful we were being watched over on that day.
Life is short and you never know when your daily goodbyes or even I love yous could be just that, your very last ones. Hug each other tight and keep those across the miles deep in your hearts and prayers.
We are truly blessed to live in a community where our neighbors and residents play hard, forgive, love unconditionally and keep their continuous prayer trains working overtime.
To you, our little town of Meeker, you are always there to lend a helping hand to each other no matter what the situation is. Our town is very special and we are blessed to live here.
It is important that we add special thank you’s to Janice Wilson, Jill and Brian Loomis, Joyce McPhearson, Gidget Jones and Tim Leff as your ongoing support is truly appreciated.
Once again, we thank you all.
Steve and Dee Cox
