Dear Editor:
I would like to ask current Meeker High School athletes, Barone Middle School athletes and the community to support the Walk-a-Thon, which will take place Saturday, July 5 from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Meeker High School track.
The Meeker Education Foundation is sponsoring this event in order to raise funds for the replacement of the current track.
This project will not only help the current middle school and high school athletes, but also the community.
Community members not only use the facility frequently, but it has the potential to provide vital economic development.
All who want to participate are welcome to pick up a sponsor packet at the Meeker Education Foundation booth on the courthouse lawn on the morning of July 4.
