Dear Editor:
The Rangely Food bank would like to thank all the people for their help last year with food donations, cash donations and help getting moved from the small room at Living Water Assembly to the large room in the back of the church. It took more than two years to get there, but we have more room and new shelves for our store room, so thank you, Rangely school children, once again your food was amazing. We were shocked to see all the bags and boxes of food covering the floor. You’re awesome. White River Market donates weekly. Roxy and the 4H group moved all the food from the old room. Ducey’s moved the refrigerators and freezers. First Baptist Church, Rangely Christian Church, Rangely Rec. Center, Chevron, Chevron warehouse employees, Vance & Teri Wilczek, Encana matching fund, Natural Soda, Napa, A & P Construction and the subcontractors who built the hospital, Urie Trucking, Laura’s Corner, ESA Chapter # 1836. With your help we gave out 5,600 lbs. of food to 61 needy families in the Rangely area last year. We also gave out certificates for fresh fruit and vegetables when available. We have applications for those who need food. Just bring in proof of residence and income per household. We are open Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. or call 629- 0709 for an appointment. The food bank is located in the rear of the east side of the Living Water Assembly at 204 E. Rio Blanco Ave. We are also looking for volunteers for an hour a week.
