Letter to the Editor: Reunion important to Navy veterans

Dear Editor:
Thank you for posting the Nitro Association’s reunion notice. It’s a time to relive the times we were haze gray and underway, as the Navy says.
For some of our members of the association, it will have been years since they saw other members of their particular crew. It was especially true for our World War Two members, since it was almost 50 years for them.
Sorry to say, but only a half dozen of the original 24 association members are still with us.
Once more, we thank you and have a Happy Easter.
