Dear Editor:
Our community has many reasons to be proud of its young citizens. We especially commend the behaviors demonstrated while veterans and auxiliary members have presented the flags and participated in school patriotic activities. Students at Barone Middle School were respectful and attentive at the Veterans Day program with thoughtful patriotic presentations and discussions with individual veterans.
Preceding many athletic events at MHS, the athletes, cheer squad, and student body have been courteous and respectful of us and what our flags represent. Many have expressed appreciation for our participation.
Our gratitude is extended to the leadership of Principal Jim Hanks and the BMS staff, and Principal Amy Chinn and Klark Kindler, MHS Athletic Director. We greatly value these opportunities to remind everyone of sacrifices made by those who have served and those currently serving to protect our nation.
