Thanks for supporting the Masons’ scholarship fundraiser
Dear Editor:
To the Meeker community, the members of the Rio Blanco Masonic Lodge want to thank all those that attended our Annual Prime Rib Dinner and Pie Auction, as well as the auctioneer Chris Alger.
Your generosity exemplifies the spirit of community, and provides a direct conduit for us to award scholarships to your graduates. Supporting education is our public mission, and with your help, our Lodge has been able to do so consistently and significantly.
We are so grateful for each of you.

Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation Cornhole Tournament a huge success
Dear Editor:
The Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation was honored to host a cornhole tournament on March 8 at Colorado Northwestern Community College. All funds raised during the event were donated to the family of Rangely High School student Tristan Scott.
The event would not have been possible without the support of the incredible Rangely community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time, resources and expertise.
A special thank-you goes to Michael, Ashley, Kassidy and Kaisley Sanford—this tournament simply could not have happened without you. From organizing and running the event to helping with cleanup, you worked nonstop from the moment you graciously said yes. Most importantly, you set the tone for a fun and welcoming night.
Thank you also to Shane Sanford and Deuce and Laura Lancaster for stepping up to lend a hand. We’re especially grateful to Colorado Northwestern Community College for allowing us to use their facility—it was the perfect venue. Thanks as well to Emma Baker of the Chamber of Commerce for her help during the early planning stages.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Jessy and Courtney Powell of Powell Liquor Company for their exceptional generosity and support—you truly blew us away. A special shoutout to Justyne Dembowski for her behind-the-scenes efforts before, during and after the tournament. Thank you to Diane Sizemore for always showing up to help and hang out—we appreciate you more than you know.
We’d also like to recognize the local 4-H members who volunteered their time, and of course, thank you to all of the players—some of whom traveled to participate and show their support.
A separate thank-you goes out to those who have generously donated to the Scott family via the account at the Bank of San Juans. Your kindness has made a difference.
To the Scott family—we hope you felt the love and support surrounding you that night and know that it continues beyond the event. The highlight of the evening was seeing all of you there, enjoying the tournament together.
And to Tristan—we are all rooting for you on your healing journey. Your best years are ahead of you.
Bleed Green!

Proud to work for PMC
Dear Editor:
I am proud to work for Pioneers Medical Center. I have been employed with the hospital for over four years. I regularly receive compliments for PMC, CAO Sports Medicine & Spine, Walbridge Memorial Wing and CAO Clinic and PT. I gladly tell our patients and community members that not only is PMC a wonderful, well-appointed facility, it is also an amazing place to work. It makes me feel good that the place where I work treats their employees as well as they treat their paying customers. I have always been made to feel a part of the team, and what a team it is! In my opinion our administration is top notch, and we are blessed to have them guiding us.
Thank you,
Tina Eckhoff
