Thanks for opportunity to serve

Dear Rio Blanco County:

I want to thank you all for allowing me to represent our amazing County for the last 7 ½ months. It has been a definite honor and privilege to do so.  I have met wonderful people, worked with the best employees ever, and am so thankful to all of you for your confidence in me to be a County Commissioner.  Rio Blanco County is very unique, filled with some of the most talented individuals.  We are so blessed to live here and wake up each day in a County that still holds traditions and values in small towns of both Meeker and Rangely.  Our vistas are second to none, from one end to the other.  As I move on, I can never have adequate words to say thank you for letting me serve.  May each and everyone of you know you made a difference in my life and my heart will always remain here where I was born, grew up and I will live out my years. God bless each of you, and remember that life is what you make it.. make it a good one, and be a good human.

Respectfully yours,
Ginny Love

Join the Historical Society

Dear Editor:

To the residents of Rio Blanco County, please join the Rio Blanco County Historical Society as a way to support the White River Museum. Why?
– The museum is a treasure.
– It’s open (almost) every day of the year.
– It’s a great place to take (or send) company — the weather is always perfect in the museum.
– Admission is free.
– It’s a great place to spend time with kids — young eyes see so much.

It comes with benefits, such as:
– Use of the Heritage Culture Center (HCC) Just imagine that fun get-together, or big project with lots of space to work.
– Having your oral history recorded.

Beginning later this month, you can make an appointment to share your oral history. There will be a “station” set up in the HCC one morning a week.
This Sunday is the annual membership meeting. Join us for a potluck lunch at the HCC at 1 p.m., followed by some entertainment, election of board members and officers. Membership dues are reasonable: $10 Senior, $20 Individual, $30 Family, $50 Business and $100 Corporate.
If you have questions, please visit the museum at 565 Park Ave., or call 970-878-9982.
See you Sunday!
