MEF thanks BMS students
Dear Editor:
The Meeker Education Foundation extends its special thanks to Ryan Hanberg and Dexter Chinn for their leadership, as members of Barone Middle School’s Student Council, of a fundraiser for the benefit of MEF late last spring. Their thoughtfulness is best expressed in their words, “We appreciate how you guys have done so much for us, so we are trying to donate a little in return.” As per the Herald Times photo and news item last week, their generous check of $516.89 will help fund grant awards for classroom needs and student enrichment opportunities. We appreciate these young men and their sense of service.
We, also, want to thank sixth graders Shae Blakely, Azalea Bresnak and Midy Camargo for thanking us, in person, for MEF’s contribution to the Sixth grade Outdoor Ed Experience at the YMCA of the Rockies in Granby. The trip took place at the beginning of the school year and helps students’ transition from elementary to middle school by promoting team work, self-reliance, leadership and an appreciation of individual differences. Also, it provides recreation and academic experiences in history, science, writing and art.

A pleasure serving
Dear Editor:
To Rio Blanco customers and communities, this is likely our last official communication with you as we transition out of the Rio Blanco Broadband network, effective Oct. 1. It has been a pleasure to serve you and get to know each of you. Our dedicated customer service representative Dawn will especially miss working with our customers in the area.
For those still attached to our service, we anticipate a smooth transition to the county broadband division, including billing. After Oct. 1, all broadband customers should reach out to the Rio Blanco County broadband team at 970-878-9545 or at [email protected] for customer service or technical support.
Special thanks to Derek Morrow, Wendy Gutierrez, Sissy Mlakar, and Krista Benner for their service to customers locally during our tenure.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the community.
Sincerely,
Visionary Broadband
