Local church team competes at national Bible quiz tournament

MEEKER |  The Junior and Beginner Bible quizzing teams of The A.R.C. (The Apostolic Restoration Center), traveled to Branson, Missouri, to compete against teams from the United States and Canada at the North American Junior Bible Quiz Tournament from July 16–21, 2023. 

The Beginner team, consisting of Cassidi Henderson and Nanci Henderson, placed 17th out of 75 teams. They memorized 178 Bible verses out of Galatians and Ephesians and competed amongst other teams with kids ages 8 and under. Cassidi was the fifth highest scoring individual out 226 beginner quizzers.

The Junior team, consisting of Ernest Henderson and Audri Henderson, took seventh place out of 89 teams. They memorized 276 verses out of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians and competed amongst other teams with kids ages 9-11. Audri was the fifth highest scoring individual out of 255 junior quizzers and was also named a runner-up quizzer of the year.

Both teams would like to thank the community for their support this year in purchasing lemonade, popsicles, cookies or cake pops to help them get to their competition and compete so well.
