Local volunteer fire crews responded to a structure fire at Elk Creek Ranch last Tuesday evening saving approximately half of the home, along with many personal belongings. No one was inside the home when the fire started. One firefighter suffered a minor injury requiring stitches. Elk Creek Ranch assisted the response with a water truck. A final cause has not been reported.
