PRESS RELEASE
MEEKER | This summer, Gracee Gardner from Meeker will join outstanding students from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career oriented development experience, The National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Law & CSI, taking place this summer on the campus of University of Maryland.
NYLF: Law & CSI is one of the Envision by WorldStrides family of programs (www.envisionexperience.com) that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.
Gracee is currently a freshman at Meeker High School. She plays volleyball, basketball, runs track, and is also in choir. Law is something Gracee is considering studying after high school. This opportunity will allow her to get a deeper understanding of what that means and what options it will open up for her as far as career paths. She is looking forward to broadening her horizons on what possibilities her future can hold with a law degree. This immersive experience will provide Gracee with many aspects of what her future could look like if she pursues law. Gracee went to Washington DC with her 8th grade class last summer, and came home with so much excitement on what she learned and anticipating her next trip there. This opportunity is going to provide her with even more knowledge and experiences in Washington DC, The University of Maryland, and George Mason University. When she is finished with this program she will leave with two college credits. Gracee is a student eager to learn and a person who is passionate about helping others. Her experience at the National Youth Leadership Conference will only push her passion to learn and advocate for others even further.
“I am excited for Gracee to meet, work, and collaborate with fellow high-aspiring students from other cities and schools,” said Dr. Jan Sikorsky, Vice President, Education for Envision. “NYLF: Law & CSI is a wonderful opportunity for ambitious young students to explore their interests outside the classroom and discover how to innovate and think creatively through hands-on immersive learning. Our students are challenged with real-world simulations and problems, working together to develop unique solutions and projects to bring life to their studies and career interests.”
