Special to the HT
MEEKER | Co-owner of Vintage Haven Kailee Franks submitted answers to questions about the business, which is located upstairs in the Hugus Building in Meeker (592 Main St., Suite 1). They have a series of events happening in September on Thursdays (see PAGE 2 in this week’s edition for this week’s “Make Your Own Simmer Pot” event details.)
1. Business Description: “Vintage Haven is a unique event space that combines a charming collection of vintage pieces with a cozy ambience, ideal for small gatherings and photography sessions. In addition to offering an inviting setting for personal events, we host our own creative workshops. Our space blends nostalgia with versatility, ensuring a memorable experience for all occasions.” Please feel free to condense this down however you’d like!
2. What we provide that people may not be aware of: While Vintage Haven is best known for hosting creative workshops, our space can also be rented for ANY occasion such as birthday parties, business meetings, baby showers, photography sessions, etc. Additionally, our vintage furniture pieces are available for rental to enhance any event.
3. Why we are in business: We are in business because we love being a part of the Meeker community and wanted to bring something unique and different to this special town. We are passionate about hosting classes and events that allow us to connect with the wonderful people here and stay actively involved. Overall, we are just very thankful for the opportunity to be able to own a business in Meeker!
4. Info about us: We truly are a close-knit trio, all working full-time at Rio Blanco County Abstract Company. Despite our busy schedules, we even spend much of our free time together – whether it’s enjoying local events, hiking up river, or participating in community activities. We’re grateful to call Meeker home, and planning Vintage Haven events in our spare time has been such a wonderful and rewarding experience!
5. What we love about Meeker: We love Meeker for its connected community and small-town charm. The friendships we’ve built here feel like family, which is such a gift. We also adore spending time outdoors here, soaking in the incredible beauty of this town and surrounding areas – it’s truly unlike anywhere else I’ve ever lived!
