RANGELY — When you hear “Meals on Wheels” you may think: “Oh that’s nice, someone is taking the time to feed the elderly people of the community.” That’s true to a point, we do feed the elderly, also the disabled and the at-risk people of Rangely.
This program is a locally funded program that is a great asset to the people that live here.
Rangely District Hospital, through Eagle Crest, provides meals to all these individuals, Monday through Friday, at the cost of $2.75 per meal.
There are some people in the community that find the cost of the meal a hardship, but would like to or do receive a hot meal at noon. Sometimes these meals are the only hot nutritious meals that these individuals get during the day.
Rangely District Hospital would like to thank the First Baptist Church for their donation. We know that this will be the first of many that we receive this year. We would like to thank you all for your support in the past for this community program.
