A happy belated birthday wish to Stephanie Stubert of Herald Times production fame. She turned 36 Aug. 2 and spent the day helping out at the county fair with the Lions Club. Mr. Harry Tucker also celebrated his birthday Aug. 2. He turned 93 this year. Also, Jody Gardner celebrated a birthday Aug. 6. Happy birthday, Jody!

Luke, Josh and Niki Turner returned from North Carolina last night where they visited former Meeker residents Laura and Joseph Cardile in Wilmington. Luke and Josh got their first taste of the Atlantic, Luke was stung by a jellyfish and Niki saw a crocodile while visiting a Revolutionary-war era plantation.
