MEEKER | The Meeker Mustang Makeover (MMM) is excited to announce it has been awarded a $200,000 grant from the Federal government to bolster its organizational leadership and community impact. This grant will be used to hire a part-time executive director, a crucial role that will drive the organization’s mission forward.
The new executive director will partner with the MMM Board of Directors to oversee all aspects of the organization, ensuring sustained excellence and broadening its reach. Key responsibilities will include developing a 3-5 year strategic plan with measurable goals aimed at operational sustainability, community engagement, communications and board development. Additionally, the executive director will work closely with the marketing manager and the board to implement an effective communications strategy to elevate the organization’s visibility.
“This grant is transformative for the Meeker Mustang Makeover,” said Deirdre Macnab, President of the MMM Board. “With the support of this funding, we are looking forward to bringing on an Executive Director who will help guide our organization to new heights, ensuring the continued success of our programs and expanding our efforts in finding good homes for wild horses in captivity.”
The Federal funding aligns with MMM’s commitment to bridging the gap between the public and wild horse populations through education, awareness, and the annual Meeker Mustang Makeover event, which promotes wild horse training and adoption.
