n Free holiday social for older adults will be Friday, Dec. 5 at the fairgrounds starting at 1:30 p.m. If you are age 50 or older you are invited to come and enjoy food, entertainment and gifts.
n Free Breakfast with Santa for the whole family will be Saturday, Dec. 6 at the fairgrounds from 8:30-11 a.m. You are invited to eat a pancake breakfast, bring a camera and take a picture with Santa, drop off non-perishable food items for the Meeker Food Bank, bring a handcrafted ornament for the Walbridge Wing tree and visit with friends and neighbors at this popular event.
n After School Mania for PreK-K, first- and second-grade and third- through fifth-grade will begin new sessions the week of Dec. 1. Merry Musicians is the theme through December. Cost varies with age group.
n Youth open gym basketball begins Sunday, Dec. 7; third- through sixth-grade from 2-4 p.m.; seventh through 12th-grade 4-6 p.m. at the high school. Cost is $2 per night.
n Martial arts workshop for ages 4 to adult begins the week of Dec. 8. Cost is $7. There are different dates for different age groups.
n Swim lesson registration began Monday, Dec. 1. A free swim skill evaluation will be 5-6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7.
n Open scrapbooking begins Dec. 10. Anyone interested in scrapbooking is invited to use the MRC for free from 6:30-8 p.m. You provide the supplies.
n Older adult game day (bingo, card games, board games, etc.) begins Dec. 11 from 9-10:30 a.m. Just for fun – no charge. Refreshments provided.
n Drop-in fitness classes are available. Morning, mid-day, evening, land and water classes are offered.
n Monthly and six month membership options are now available.
n Personal training is now offered in three different package options.
n The MRC pool will close every Thursday from 9 to noon for maintenance.
