Meeker Recreation Center News: June 26, 2008

n Meeker Rec. Center Range Call hours: July 3, 5 a.m.-8 p.m.; July 4, closed all day; July 5, 7 a.m.-6 p.m.; July 6, 9 a.m. -6 p.m.
n Fitness Room Orientation for all ages will be held Saturday, June 28, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The service is free.
n Top Hand basketball camp for boys and girls K-8th grades will be July 1-3 at the MHS gym from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $20. Coach Blunt and her high school players will be teaching the camp.
n 5K Run for Your Life walk/run race will be Friday, July 4. Register at 6:30 a.m. on the courthouse lawn. Cost is $15. Race is open to all ages. Run starts at 7:30 a.m. The course is posted at the Meeker Rec Center.
n Kids events for ages 1-12 is free with admission to the Ranch Rodeo, on Friday, July 4, 4 p.m. at the RBC Fairgrounds. Great games and plenty of prizes for all participants.
n First annual mini-triathlon is Saturday, July 19 for ages 13 and over. Cost is $15 for individuals; $30 for a team of 3. Course information is available at the MRC.
n Community Appreciation Day featuring free food, entertainment, games and much more is July 19 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. on the courthouse lawn.
n Yoga Stretch for all ages will run June 11 – Sept. 24, on Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. This is a drop-in fitness class. Walk-in fee is $4 with fitness passes available for a lower per class rate. Instructor is Joan Klose.

n Adult soccer players who have been using the Sixth Street goals, please note: The goals will be moved to Irwin Baseball Field, near the fairgrounds, in the near future. You are encouraged to use them at the new location.
