Meeker wrestlers crown five champions

MEEKER I “We had a long season and continued to improve each week and wrestle tough; I am very proud of all of our kids,” Meeker Community Wrestling Club coach Carl Padilla said of the youth wrestling team. “Parachute was our last tournament of the season, but I am already looking forward to next year.”
Meeker crowned five champs in Parachute with Reed Goedert, Adrianna Price, Cade and Connor Blunt and Kelton Turner all winning gold medals.
Wyatt Ross, Tristin Rollins, Dillon Hobbs, Kaden Franklin, Kesston Hobbs and Tannen Kennedy all finished as runners-up. Consolations champs for Meeker were Domonic Wyatt, Finley Deming, Wyatt Rollins, Hayden Shults, Trae Kennedy, Ty Goedert and Kesston Hobbs, who wrestled in to age groups, also won a bronze medal. Rian Hinden, William Foster and Jon Baker all placed fourth.
Meeker youth wrestlers Aksel Jonsson, Cody Richardson, Wil Schwartz, Dublin Price, Sydnie Ross, Jace Mobley, Coy Richardson, Cooper Michels, Anders Jonsson, Robert Foster, Russell McGruder, Justin George, and Trapper McGruder all wrestled in the season finale but did not place in the top four.
“I want to thank all the friends, family members and all the community for making Meeker’s recent Casey Turner Memorial Tournament a success,” Padilla said. “We couldn’t have done it without all your support and help, thank you so much!”
