MEEKER | The annual Youth Fishing Day will be held in Meeker on Saturday at Circle Park, which is across the bridge from Meeker Town Park.
The Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District will team up with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to hold the event, which is free to area youths. The groups will provide fishing rods, reels, bobbers and bait to youth participants in need of fishing supplies.
The event will run from 2 to 5 p.m., and the CPW will stock Circle Park Pond with fish for the event. Those who will be fishing over the age of 16 must have a required state fishing license. For more information, call 970-878-3403.
