Meeting to address fraud

RBC I At the request of employers, the Colorado Workforce Center and Colorado Mountain College’s Customized Business Services are hosting a free workshop on “How to detect fraudulent documents,” which will be presented by Steve Turza with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Colorado requires employers to verify and document the legal eligibility for employment of newly hired employees.
In order to help employers with the verification process, this free workshop will be offered in two locations on Oct. 26: From 9 a.m. to noon at Colorado Northwestern Commun-ity College in Rangely and from 2-5 p.m. at Mountain Valley Bank, 400 Main St., in Meeker.
The Colorado Workforce Center offers aide employers’ recruiting strategies: employment and wage laws; local labor market information; use of office facilities; pre-screening; training and tax credit opportunities; Unemployment Insurance information and other services.
