RBC — The National Association of Royalty Owners-Rockies Chapter is holding an all-encompassing meeting for mineral owners in Garfield and all surrounding counties. NARO-Rockies has held statewide meetings, from Yuma County to Ignacio, during the last six years to provided mineral owners with the information they need to negotiate good leases, manage their minerals and ensure that they are receiving the proper amount of royalties.
The meeting will be held at the Cafetorium of the Grand Valley High School at 800 Cardinal Way, Parachute, Colo., Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1-4 p.m. The focus of the meeting will be to discuss and inform mineral owners in the region about leasing, bonus payments, mineral management, how to understand your royalty check stub, going prices for oil and gas in this area, how successful oil and gas court cases affect your payments and how all taxpayers are impacted by oil and gas tax revenues. Besides experts in law, petroleum accounting and mineral management, ample time for questions from the attendees will close out the session. There is no charge for this educational forum and all are encouraged to attend to find out what’s going on in the Piceance Basin and the region.
