Sister Chloe Filfred of Rangely has returned from her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She made her official report to church leaders in Craig and has been officially released from her assignment to the Riverside, California area. Sister Filfred shared the following testimony of her mission: “Going on my mission was the best thing I could have done. I was assigned to serve in the California Riverside mission. I was able to have the blessing of being able to get up every day and focus my life entirely on the Lord. One thing I wanted to gain from my mission was to have a closer and a real relationship with my Savior. In John 15:10-11 it promises us that as we keep God‘s commandments, his joy will remain in you, and that your joy will be full. I’m happy to say that as I served the Lord on my mission, my joy and love for the gospel increased. I’m excited to continue to come closer to Him everyday. I’ve also had the blessing to see the people whom I and my companion were teaching eventually enter into the waters of baptism. I know as we come unto Christ, He will guide us throughout our lives, and we will have the joy and happiness that is promised. I’m so grateful for Jesus Christ and that our lives can be changed through His Atonement. And I’m grateful that I was able to go on a mission and to have my life changed through Him.”
