In what’s become a running theme this season, the Rangely Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by Caprock Academy at home to the tune of 52-14. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rangely to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashlynn Ducey, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Miah Wren, who scored 12 points along with seven steals.
The Rangely Panthers had already had a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.2 points, and they went ahead and made it one more on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over Little Snake River. Ducey, out in front, scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that’s the most points Ducey has scored all season. Annika Cantrell was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 17 rebounds and three steals, followed by Ryann Mergelman with eight points, nine rebounds and five steals. Wren had a great defensive game, and finished with seven points, and Emerree Wagner added in three points.
For the final game of the weekend the lady Panthers traveled to North Park on Saturday for a league matchup and came out strong again, leading 34-17 at half and finishing with a 67-30 victory. Emerree Wagner had a great game scoring a season high of 14 points, Ducey had a great offensive finishing with 15 points, followed by Cantrell with 12, Mergelman with eight, Wren five, Kastyn Dembowski four, TyLee Fielder three points, and Aubriana Tapia with two points.
