MEEKER | The meeting of the Meeker Board of Trustees started promptly at 7 p.m. with Regas Halandras presiding.
First item of business was with regard to the water tank drain line project. There was one contractor that responded to the initial request for bid however, it was over budget. It was determined that specifications on the initial bid did not specify the type of pipe to be used, so a change was made to the bid request to specify a less expensive type of pipe to be used and then submitted for a re-bid.
The next order of business was with regard to the reappointment of planning commissioners Michelle Morgan and Libby Morton. After a brief discussion, the trustees voted in favor of the reappointment of both commissioners.
The last item on the agenda concerning special event permit requests. The president of the Meeker Lions Club, Mike Miller, was present with a request for five special event permits: RBC Fairgrounds, Arena and Grandstands July 4-6; RBC Indoor Arena and Ballfield July 5-6, 700 Sulphur Creek Rd. in Meeker. All five permits were granted.
