The D1 team of third and fourth graders wrapped up the year with a tough loss, losing 0-28 to Carbondale.
The D-2 fifth and sixth graders dominated and earned a spot in the post season consolation game against New Castle by beating Carbondale 28-0. The D2 team will play at noon on Saturday against Glenwood Springsl. The Super Bowl matchup between Glenwood and Basalt to follow at 2 p.m.
Coaches of both teams commended the Mustang players for their hard work and sportsmanship in the 2022 season. The kids were very coachable and willing to work hard and will be missed but they are looking forward to watching them in the years to come.
