‘Tis the season for giving at Mountain Valley Bank of Meeker. The bank hosted “The Charity Challenge” as its community Christmas project this year. “We have hosted a charity event every year as a way for each of us to give back to Meeker and involve the community,” said bank president Tawny Halandras (left.) Seven local nonprofits were represented by bank staff. Citizens could donate to the charity of their choice, and MVB agreed to match up to $100 for each organization. | COURTESY PHOTOS
