RANGELY I Aundrea McCormick begins her first season as the head women’s basketball coach at Colorado Northwestern Community College. She was most recently the head coach at Garrett College in Maryland. Prior to accepting her first head coaching position she had a short stint at Lamar Community College as an assistant coach, and four years as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Odessa College in Texas. While at Odessa, McCormick helped coach several all-conference performers, all-region players, and one all-American.
McCormick is a native of Wainwright, Okla., and played high school basketball at Hilldale High School in Muskogee, Okla. After attending Oklahoma State University; she played one year of college basketball at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., and one at University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark. Injuries ended her playing career during McCormick’s senior year. While finishing her degree, McCormick aided her teammates as an assistant coach at the University of the Ozarks. McCormick earned her bachelor’s degree from University of the Ozarks in physical education and a minor in health.
