New Colorado license plate promotes hunting, fishing

Senator Jean White, R-Winter Park, sponsored House Bill 1275,which creates a Colorado Wildlife Sporting license plate to promote hunting and fishing in Colorado. The bill unanimously passed out of the Senate Transportation Committee today. The plate will be available to residents throughout Colorado who would like to show their support for sportsmen and women.
“This is a great bill that will promote hunting and fishing in Colorado, while also giving sportsmen and women the opportunity to show support for their sport,” said White. “HB 1275 will increase opportunities for all Coloradans to participate in wildlife sports.”
The initial cost for the plate will be $60. A portion of the money collected from the plate will go to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife fund to develop more public shooting ranges and expand and promote fishing in Colorado.
