MEEKER I Pioneers Medical Center would like to showcase the works of local artists at the new hospital when it opens later this year.
Margie Joy, executive director of the Pioneers Medical Center Foundation, said, “If you have artwork relevant to the White River area, please contact me (970-878-9317) to find out how your artwork can be permanently displayed at the new Pioneers Medical Center.”
The deadline to submit the art is Jan. 31.
“PMC would like to incorporate local art from area artists into the new medical facility,” Joy said. “We are seeking donations of photography, paintings, quilts, sculptures, etc., that depict and are relevant to the White River area; scenery, wildlife, fishing, agriculture and the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials, etc.”
Those who are interested are asked to send a photo of the art object to [email protected] as a JPEG file.
Please indicate the type of art, such as photo or painting, etc., include the finished size of the object, such as 8×10 photo, quilt size, etc., include a short three- or four-sentence description of the art and include the artist’s name, phone number and email address.
“We appreciate our local artists sharing their talent,” Joy said. “All art will be reviewed, and, if selected, the art will be recognized as a donation. The artist will be given credit next to where their art is displayed and the artist will be recognized on the donor wall.”
