MEEKER I Colorado Wildlife Commissioner Allan Jones will hold a public meeting in Meeker to get local input on wildlife issues. The meeting will be held at the Mountain Valley Bank (Fourth and Main streets) from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting is open to the public.
Jones will give a brief update on issues the Wildlife Commission is addressing and then open the meeting for discussion of issues from the public.
“Having been appointed to the Wildlife Commission earlier this year, I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to hear more about the issues that are on people’s minds,” Jones said. “While I’ve lived in and around Meeker for a long time, this will give people a chance to visit with me in my new capacity.”
A former Rio Blanco County commissioner, Jones was appointed to the Wildlife Commission in March by Gov. Bill Ritter.
