Costa Rica presentation Nov. 15
MEEKER | Students who participated in the leatherback turtle conservation program in Costa Rica last summer will report on their experiences in a presentation next Thursday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Meeker Public Library. The event is free to the public. We invite anyone who is interested and especially those who have supported the Meeker International Ecology Program. Dessert will be provided.

Workforce Center hosting hiring event

The Rangely Workforce Center and Labor Ready are hosting a hiring event Nov. 8 for Sodexo, Inc. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and they are looking for qualified applicants who want to work in the food service industry for the following positions: baker, dishwasher, dinner cook, grill cook. Annual harvest turkey dinner Nov. 11
MEEKER | Annual harvest festival turkey dinner, Sunday, Nov. 11, 4-7 p.m. $10 per plate for adults, $5 for 5-12 years of age, under 5 free. Bake sale and silent auction, too. Richards Hall at St. James Episcopal Church, 368 4th St., Meeker.

PMC Foot Care Clinic Nov. 13
MEEKER | Pioneers Medical Center Home Health will be offering its monthly Foot Care Clinic, Tuesday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. at The Pines. A certified nurse assistant will trim toenails, assess circulation, give skin care and check blood pressure. Persons found to have circulation or foot problems will be referred to a physician. Please call 878-9265 to schedule an appointment.
