Fairfield grant applications due Oct. 3

Meeker | The Freeman E. Fairfield Charitable Trust semi-annual grant application deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3. Applications may be mailed to P.O. Box 2302, Meeker, CO 81641 or delivered to Diane Dunham, 438 E. Market. Mailed applications must be received—not postmarked—by Oct. 3. Application forms are available from Diane or any Fairfield Trust Committee member.

RBC Historical Society presents ‘This is Rangely’ Oct. 9 in Meeker

RBC | Rio Blanco County Historical Society presents: “This is Rangely—Celebrating Rangely History!” on Oct. 9 from 1-3 p.m. at the Old West Heritage Culture Center (517 Park Ave., Meeker, Colo., next door to the White River Museum). Luncheon is at 1 p.m. Guests can bring salad or dessert. Board is providing hot casseroles. Business meeting at 1:45 p.m. with recognition of 2016 volunteers. Historic presentation at 2 p.m. with Brenda Hopson, director of Rangely Outdoor Museum and her board.

CNCC computer classes in Meeker

Meeker | Need help improving skills with Microsoft, Word Excel and/or PowerPoint? If so, register now at CNCC Meeker Center for these October classes. Word is scheduled for Oct. 11 – Nov. 1.
