Meet and greet with Republican candidates
DINOSAUR | There will be a meet and greet with at least two Republican candidates for state office at the Dinosaur Fire Hall (301 Stegosaurus Way) from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, April 28. Confirmed candidates attending include Savannah Wolfson, candidate for Colorado House District 26, and Matt Solomon, candidate for Colorado Senate District 8.
Global Youth Service Day
RBC | Global Youth Service Day is April 29-May 1. It is considered the largest coordinated youth service event in the world. White River Alliance meeting May 5
MEEKER | The next White River Alliance meeting (Zoom and in person) is May 5 at 6 p.m., location to be announced. The meeting topic is “Underground Filtration Galleries: How do they work and what are their benefits?” with speakers Frank Alfone, director of the Mount Werner Water District in Steamboat Springs, and Travis Day, owner/operator of Water Pump and Supply Services LLC in Meeker.
Meeker book club May 9
MEEKER | The book club will be reading “The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu” by Joshua Hammer. We will discuss the book on Monday, May 9 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
